Terms of use

These terms govern the use of Wakakash, a personal finance management service published by Tamaroas. By creating an account, you accept them, along with the privacy policy.

Wakakash helps you record your income, expenses, debts and savings, follow your budgets and goals, and understand where you stand through statistics and insights computed from what you enter.

• Wakakash is not a bank, a payment institution or a Mobile Money service. It does not hold your money and makes no payments.
• Wakakash is not a financial, tax or legal adviser. The figures, insights and suggestions shown are information to help you decide; the decisions remain yours.
• The results depend on the information you enter: a forgotten entry or a typo shows up in your balances and statistics.

• You must be an adult under the law of your country to create an account.
• Your account information must be accurate; you can change it at any time from your profile.
• Your account is personal. Keep your password secret and tell us at contact@wakakash.com if you think someone else has access to it.
• You are responsible for what is done from your account, in particular on a shared device where you did not sign out.

During the launch phase, Wakakash is free, with no feature limits.

If a paid subscription is introduced, you will be told at least 30 days in advance, with the prices and what they include. You will remain free not to subscribe, and your data will stay available. No amount will be charged to you without your explicit consent.

• Your financial information belongs to you. You only allow us to store and process it to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
• If you enter information about other people (for example a lender) or add receipt photos, make sure you have the right to do so and keep it to what is necessary.
• You can ask for your account and your data to be deleted at any time.

WhatsApp messages (reminders, alerts) are optional. They are only sent if you turned them on by sending START, and they stop as soon as you send STOP or turn them off in your profile. They depend on the availability of WhatsApp, which applies its own terms. Any mobile data charges remain yours.

By using Wakakash, you agree not to:

• use it for any illegal or fraudulent activity;
• try to access other users’ accounts or data;
• disrupt the service, get around its protections or test its security without written permission;
• extract data in an automated way, or resell or copy the service.

We do our best to keep Wakakash available and working properly, but we cannot guarantee it will be completely free of interruptions or errors. The service may be paused briefly for maintenance or evolve: features may be added, changed or removed.

Offline mode lets you make some entries without internet; they are sent as soon as the connection is back. An entry left on a device that is lost or wiped before it synchronises cannot be recovered.

To the extent permitted by law, Tamaroas is not responsible for the financial decisions you make based on the information shown, for the consequences of an entry error, or for outages of third-party services (mobile operator, WhatsApp, host). Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

The Wakakash name, logo, design and software belong to Tamaroas. You may use the service for your personal use; any other reproduction or reuse requires our permission.

• You can stop using Wakakash and ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
• We may suspend or close an account if these terms are not respected, in case of fraud, or if it puts other users at risk. Except in an emergency, we will tell you beforehand and explain why.

These terms may change as the service evolves. For any significant change, you will be told in the application before it takes effect. If you keep using Wakakash after that date, the new terms apply; otherwise, you can close your account.

These terms are governed by the law of the following country: Cameroon. If we disagree, please write to us first at contact@wakakash.com: we will look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts, without prejudice to the protective rules you benefit from as a consumer in your country of residence.
